Teyana Taylor Shoved By Security During Oscars Red Carpet Arrivals
Teyana Taylor was filmed in a heated confrontation with a security guard. The incident occurred shortly after the ceremony ended as Taylor and Warner Bros. co-chair Pamela Abdy attempted to return to the stage for a group photo celebrating their film One Battle After Another's Best Picture win.
In viral social media footage, Taylor is seen scolding a man later identified as part of the event's security firm, SIS for allegedly shoving her and nearly pushing Abdy.
Taylor was heard repeatedly calling the man "very rude" and stated, "You’re a man putting your hands on a female". She later told bystanders, "He literally shoved me... Do not touch me. Do not shove me".
Reports indicate the guard used his body to block Taylor and Abdy from the stairs and physically held them back from the stage. He reportedly even asked Taylor for an apology during the exchange.
Following the event, Taylor told TMZ that "security was just doing a lot" and emphasized that she has zero tolerance for "unwarranted and unprovoked" disrespect.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences released a statement, noting they were "extremely upset" by the report and had addressed the matter with the outside security firm, stating such behavior is "not acceptable".
The firm acknowledged the "brief interaction" and "incidental contact," expressing regret that the situation escalated while their team was managing a crowded area.
Taylor attended the Oscars as a Best Supporting Actress nominee for her role in One Battle After Another, which was the night's biggest winner with six awards.
